Some Updates

I've been living in LA for over 2 months and not have much time for modelling and updating my blog since then. Now everything is going well and I have more free time to continue my work again. As you can see, I've already had my new workbench which was applied from a computer desk and some of WIP were still waiting there for me to finish it. :)  I'll post more updates of these projects soon.

And last but not least, I would like to thanks everyone for all nice & kind comments on my latest work "Grey Knight - Justicar Jedidiah", I really appreciate it and please forgive me for haven't replied due to the inconvenience of using the internet at my home earlier.  :)

Thanks again for followed and visited my blog, Happy Modelling Everyone!!

Grey Knights - Justicar Jedidiah (Finished)

Converted from Grey Knight Brotherhood Champion

Finally I've finished this project. It been 5 months since I've posted the first WIP, such a long time for a small project like this piece. J You can find previous posts on this project (including list of the colors and ratio for the NMM Silver & Gold) by clicking [Here]

Also, This is the last project I've finished in Thailand before moving to USA (Los angeles-California) next month. I'll be there for a few years to learn and improve my English and find some jobs. I think I'm going to be very busy for the next 2-3 months once I got there. So, wish me luck for a new path of my life and hope I'll find some free time to continue my work and my passion again. J

Happy modelling & painting to all of you, I'll see you again soon! J

Judgement

Scale : 32 mm metal figure
Manufacture : CMON Miniatures
Sculpted by Pedro Fernandez

My latest project, an entry  for The Russian Alternative Battle 4 (contest theme "Undead"). I have tried to make the layouts of this piece more somber and gloomy with the use of colors and the overall ambiance, in order for this miniature to be suited with the concept. The base is also an important part, which tells the story of this piece and at the same time causing it to look attractive. It was made from a sheet of plaster (cast from a plastic box lid with 1cm thickness), cut and carved in a pillar(piers) shape with arches on top.
Painted was done mainly with different shades of grey, black and brown from Vallejo model colors on both the miniature and the base, and weathered with oil colors and MIG pigments.

Even though I may not have won any prices from The RAB4, but what I considered was reward for me was a comment from Ben Komets and Matt Cexwish (Judges of RAB4). It's going to be very helpful for my next project. As I have learned to recognize my errors and mistakes on my work piece, it enables me to improve my painting skills, I really appreciate it. Hope I will have a chance to participate with the contest from The RAB next time. J

Many thanks to the organizer of The RAB4 contest and congratulation to all the winners (very well deserved prize). You can see the report of The RAB4 and gallery of the contest works by clicking -[ RAB4 Report & RAB4 Contest Works ]-. There are so many impressive and inspiring works from many well known artists, worth to take a look and be enjoyed.

Happy Modelling and Painting to all.

Backpack - แค่ฝันร้าย (Official Music Video)

Grey Knights - Justicar Jedidiah (WIP 6)

A quick update of this project. I've finished the backside of the banner, It was painted with red tones in order to match it with the other red parts of Justicar. The freehand pattern are designed by me which was adapted from the Art Nouveau style. Also, some of the areas on the backpack were painted with red tones for the same reason as well. J
